Sweetbriar Golf Course is a 36 Hole golf facility in beautiful Avon Lake. The two 18 hole courses are built through acres of wooded landscape with a natural wetlands area and ponds. Whether it's casual play, tournaments, leagues, or outings Sweetbriar is a wonderful destination for your event. We are also proud to be the home course for numerous high schools in the area.
Course Description
Legacy 18
Built in 2002 and 2007, the front and back 9's of Legacy offer two differing landscapes that create a diverse 18 holes. The front 9 is a links style layout with winding fairways and large greens. The back 9 of Legacy is built through a wooded landscape and offers a more tradtiional, East Coast feel to the golfer with natural wetlands areas and risk reward par fives. The back 9 of Legacy is a perfect compliment to our first Legacy 9.
Sweetbriar 18
Built in the 1960's, this 18 hole course winds through large trees and many creekbeds. A shorter 18, this course is great for moderate to beginner golfers looking to work on their games, but from the back tees offers a great challenge to golfers of all levels.
Driving Range
Time spent at the driving range is a major part in developing your game. Our driving range offers several tees where lessons take place and we also have a large practice green to sharpen your putting skills before or after play.
Golf Shop
A wide variety of logo and non-logo merchandise is available from many well-known makers of fine golf apparel. We also offer custom club fittings to make sure you play with the best equipment for your game.
Lessons
Make a commitment to improve your swing and lower your handicap. We can help you with your entire game - - from short to long game to course management. Memberships only include the Sweetbriar 18, but Juniors with a Membership receive a 50% discount on Legacy Greens Fees when accompanied by a paid adult.

Waivers do need to be completed by parents and junior before play can begin.
